With Christmas fast approaching, you may be stuck for gift ideas. So my post today is about a recently released OPI set that includes three full sized polishes. I was sent this gift set from Coty Pr Australia and I have to say these polishes are lovely.

 The three shades in the pack are Alpine Snow, Step Right Up and Passion. They're lovely nude shades that are part of the OPI Soft Shades Collection and they're perfect for any occasion.




Alpine Snow
This shade is the perfect white. The formula is great and it's opaque in two to three coats. You can get bald spots if you apply the coats too quickly but that's a common thing with light coloured polishes. This shade is also great for the tips of a french manicure.




Step Right Up !
Wow. This colour is beautiful. If you're after a nude polish that suits most skin tones, then this it it. It's a very pale pink that's almost creamy. Paired with Alpine Snow this makes the perfect french manicure.

Passion 
This shade is a darker nude that has a very pink tint to it. It's not the most flattering colour on my skin tone but would look good on a more olive skin tone.


Overall these are lovely pale soft shades that live up to the OPI name with incredible shine and formula.The gift sets are available from Myer and David Jones for RRP $39.95 and when you work it out that's basically three polishes for the price of two ! Winner winner chicken dinner !

Hi everyone ! Today's post is a bit of a change of pace from the usual nail polish swatches. I was sent the new Rimmel London Provocalips Lip Colour from Coty Pr Australia and I wanted to share these amazing new products.

These lipsticks have 16 hour kiss proof colour that is also transfer proof and trouble proof ! I was super excited to try these as I love a bold red lip but am constantly reapplying and worrying about if I've smeared it all over my face.

The collection comes in 8 shades ranging from nude to pearly purple.

Colours L-R: Skinny Dipping, Make Your Move, Dare To Pink, I'll Call You, Little Minx, Kiss Me You Fool, Play With Fire, Kiss Fatal.

The lipsticks come with two ends, lip colour on one end and a clear gloss on the other. You put the colour on first and let dry then apply the gloss to seal and moisturise.

Shade #700 Skinny Dipping

 Of all the colours, this is probably the only one that I wouldn't wear. The colour was just too bronze for my skin tone but I imagine that it would be great on a more olive or darker skin tone.



Shade #730 Make Your Move

I found that this colour was actually quite close to my natural lip colour. Its a browny red went on quite nicely.



Shade #110 Dare To Pink

This shade is a light pink that has a bit of shimmer to it. It's a bit pale for my skin tone but still looks nice.



Shade #200 I'll Call You

I'll Call You is a natural pink colour that isn't too in your face but it still gives a nice pop of colour.







Shade #310 Little Minx

This shade is a fun bright pink that is girly and just says 'I am ready to party !'




Shade #500 Kiss Me You Fool

If red lips are your thing then this is the shade for you ! This has to be one of my favorites of the whole collection. It's a blue based red that makes your teeth look white not yellow like some other red lipsticks. Winner winner !



Shade #550 Play With Fire

This shade is a deep burgundy red that I just love ! Perfect for autumn with chunky jumpers and dark nails.



Shade #230 Kiss Fatal

The last shade is a pearly purple colour that is great if you're in the mood for something different. I really like this colour on top of the last shade Play With Fire.




Overall I really liked these colours and the wear was incredible ! I ate, drank and wore them for a couple of hours and only noticed slight wear on the inside of my lips. Even when my lips felt a little dry, I would just reapply the gloss. I feel like these babies would be bombproof !

Literally kiss proof ! I kissed my hand and nothing was transferred !

I found the best way to remove them was to use a waterproof makeup remover.

Oh glorious glorious gradient ! I was inspired by @lemmingspolish (check out her work here) for these nails and used some pretty cool colours for it too. I used Ulta3 Lily White as a base and then China Glaze In A Lily Bit, Highlight Of My Summer, Too Yacht To Handle and OPI You're Such A Budapest.




Once you get the hang of doing gradients, the possibilities are endless !

I've had my eye on holographic polishes for a long time so I was super excited to stumble across a Color Club display of holographic goodness !!

I hadn't tried holographic polishes or Color Club before so I just picked up Harp On It but now have plans to pick up a couple more.

But first things first, the polish I got is called Harp On It and it is a silver hued liner holographic polish. Isn't it just amazing !?! It's like a rainbow in a bottle  !

This polish absolutely takes my breath away in sunlight !

The formula was incredible with this polish - I wore it without a top coat for over a week without any chipping whatsoever. I had very slight tip fade but it was hardly noticeable. It was completely opaque within two coats and went on like dream.

All in all if you're tossing up whether or not to buy this polish, do. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it at all. I'm already planning what shades to buy next :))

I seriously love these nails. I think these have to be one of my favourite nail looks. Ever. I was really in the mood for a monochrome nail look and I found this design on Wondrously Polished's Instagram (you can also check out her blog here). As soon as I saw them I just knew that I had to try and recreate them. So here's what I came up with...




I used all Ulta3 colours for this handpainted design. I used Black Satin and Lily White and I think they look great together ! I thought the pattern was a little daunting at first but once you break it down and do it bit by bit, it's much easier.




Overall I loved this design and I wish it stayed on my nails for much longer. Its perfect for spring/summer or if you just want some extra gorgeousness on your nails.

Hi everyone - welcome to my first blog post !!

I recently received an order from Oszale that contained my first ever China Glaze polishes. I ended up paying $5 for each polish which is a great deal considering the ones I've seen are at least $12.95.
The polishes I bought are (L-R) Fairy Dust, At Vase Value, Too Yacht To Handle, Highlight of My Summer, In a Lily Bit, Spring In My Step, Bottoms Up and Flip Flop Fantasy.

Fairy Dust is a slightly holographic glitter topper that makes any mani pop. I really like this one as you can layer it on any polish to make it a more interesting. Below is one coat of Fairy Dust over In A Lily Bit.



Next is At Vase Value. This polish is a bright light blue with a sort of pastel neon look to it. Application was a little bit tricky, I ended up using three coats but it well worth it for the amazing colour !




Too Yacht To Handle is a brighter blue than At Vase Value and is also more turquoise. Application was good with this polish and I only needed two thick coats to achieve opacity.




Highlight Of My Summer is a neon pastel mint polish and is sensational ! it dries to a semi-matte finish. I'd heard that some people had had problems with the formula in terms of streakyness and patchyness but once I tried it, it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I just waited around 10 minutes between coats to avoid bald patches and did three thick coats. This polish is one of my favourites of my haul.



In A Lily Bit is a gorgeous pinky lilac polish that just screams spring to me. Application was good with this creme polish and the finish was glossy. The colour is similar to OPI Mod About You but is more purple.



Spring In My Step is a light baby pink polish that is just lovely. Application was tricky with this one and it definitely required patience.  It dried to a gloss finish and needed three coats to be opaque.



I wasn't sure whether or not to get this one but I am so glad I did ! Bottoms Up is an amazing bright neon pink and I am yet to see another hot pink that compares to it. It was opaque in two coats and dried to a semi-matte finish.



Now drum roll please for the polish that I pined over for years and I finally got my hands on ! I had heard heaps about Flip Flop Fantasy and it definitely lives up to the hype. This neon coral polish is one of a kind and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. Application required some patience and it dries to a semi-matte finish. I believe that this is the new Flip Flop Fantasy formula which is more pink than the original.




 In a nutshell I found China Glaze polishes to be amazingly pigmented and different to other brands I have used before. Although they chipped quicker than I would've liked, I definitely need more China Glaze polishes in my collection. I would also order from Ozsale again even though I had to wait eight weeks for shipping. They usually do China Glaze sales every few months so keep your eyes peeled.
